Description:

Oenothera is the type genus of the family Onagraceae. Common names include evening primrose, suncups, and sundrops. It is a North American native biennial plant, but widely planted in tropics and subtropics. The flowers open in the evening and close up during the day and are strongly scented with a delicious sweet perfume which attracts pollinating moths.
